Star Wars Been There – Coruscant

Been There – Coruscant is the third mug released on May 4th, 2023, the day that holds great significance for Star Wars fans worldwide. Coruscant, also known as Imperial Center, was a unique and remarkable planet of the Core Worlds. The whole surface of the planet was entirely covered in sprawling cities and urban landscapes, an ecumenopolis as it was called in the Star Wars metaverse. It was believed by many to be the original homeworld of humanity. The planet served as a bustling hub of activity, and held immense political significance during the rule of the Galactic Empire.… Read more

Star Wars Been There – Jakku

Been There Jakku is the mug from the 2023 trio released on May 4th. Jakku was a desert planet located in the Western Reaches of the galaxy’s Inner Rim. Known for its vast expanses of barren sand dunes and harsh, unforgiving environment, Jakku holds great importance in the Star Wars universe for several reasons. One of them is that it was the place of the Battle of Jakku. It was a decisive clash between the New Republic and the remnants of the Galactic Empire.… Read more

Star Wars Been There – Mustafar

As I’ve mentioned in the previous post, there were three new Star Wars mugs released for the May 4th this year. Here is the first of them: Starbucks Been There – Mustafar mug.

Mustafar is a volcanic planet located in the Outer Rim Territories of the Star Wars galaxy. It is characterized by its harsh and unforgiving environment, with rivers of lava, towering volcanoes, and a perpetually fiery landscape. The planet’s intense volcanic activity makes it inhospitable for most forms of life, and its treacherous terrain poses numerous dangers to those who venture there.… Read more

Been There Star Wars Ornaments

What a surprise! Apart from the three new Star Wars mugs that were announced this Monday, Starbucks shocked collectors with the release of not less than 12 Star Wars ornaments! They were available online for a very short period of time before being marked as sold out! Unfortunately, I was not able to get them, and really hope these will be restocked. I will be monitoring Disney Store from now on, stay tuned for the alerts. Btw, it seems there is plenty of stock in WDW parks.… Read more

Been There – Naboo

Starbucks Been There – Naboo is the third mug from the 2022 batch of the Star Wars themed releases. In the Star Wars universe, Naboo was a beautiful planet from the Mid Rim Territories. Originally, it was populated by the amphibian Gungans. One of their representative, Jar Jar Binks, is depicted on the lower front part of the mug. Later in time a group of human colonists from Grizmallt landed on the planet and named it and themselves Naboo. Unfortunately, their arrival led to a series of conflicts with Gungans over territory and resources.… Read more

Been There – Nevarro

This is Starbucks Been There – Nevarro, a mug for the volcanic planet from the Outer Rim Territories. In the time of the New Republic, the planet and its city became headquarters for bounty hunters. Din Djarin, a.k.a “the Mandalorian” or “Mando”, is probably the most well-known among them. He’s depicted right on the front of the mug. Din Djarin dragged the Bounty Hunters’ Guild into the conflict when he rescued Grogu, a.k.a. “The Child” (you can see him on the right side of the front of the mug).… Read more

Been There – Ahch-To

Starbucks Been There – Ahch-To is a mug for a planet from the Unknown Regions that was mostly covered with water and numerous rocky islands poking here and there. It was believed to be the birthplace of the Jedi Order. Luke Skywalker made this planet his home many years after the Galactic Civil War, you can see him on the front of the mug. It was Ahch-To where he agreed to train Rey (Skywalker) (the right side of the front of the mug).… Read more

2022 Starbucks Star Wars mugs are on the way

As you probably know, May 4th is a special day for all Star Wars fans. Coming from the famous line from the saga, “May the Force be with you”, Star Wars Day is an unofficially observed holiday. As the owner of the Star Wars franchise, Disney is using this date for certain events and releases. One of those is the collaboration with Starbucks to produce a mini-series of Star Wars Been There mugs. Since 2020, they release three mugs per year for the different places from the iconic saga.… Read more

Star Wars Been There – Tatooine

Star Wars Been There – Tatooine is a mug for probably one of the most well-known locations from the Star Wars franchise. Home planet to both Luke and Anakin Skywalker, it is remembered for its desert landscapes and beautiful sunsets of its two suns. I believe it is the only planet featured in all six episodes of the saga (although only mentioned in The Empire Strikes Back). It is also the very first planet to be seen in the film franchise (Episode IV – A New Hope) and that’s what most of the mug is dedicated to.… Read more
