You Are Here – Lille

Starbucks You Are Here Lille mug has been spotted in stores this week. This is the city in French Flanders, on the north of France, right next to the Belgium border. Here are some points of interest spotted on the mug:
– The Porte de Paris (“Gate of Paris”) is an Arc de Triomphe built in the 17th century to commemorate Louis XIV conquering the city. It looks like a building, rather than an arch, which makes it special.
– Chambre de commerce de Lille with its majestic 250ft high belfry.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament – France

Starbucks made us wait quite a while for this cutie. There is no definitive answer whether You Are Here Ornament – France hit the stores or not. The picture you’re seeing is coming from eBay and some people report being able to buy it in Paris. This uncertainty should not stop real collectors from hunting this mini mug down. Am I right, guys? If you happen to get it, please share your findings in comments.

You Are Here – Bergen

YAH city mugs are still in trend in Europe, and we get Starbucks You Are Here – Bergen as a proof of that. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. It is surrounded by mountains with certain areas of the city located on islands. Thanks to a temperate oceanic climate, Bergen’s weather is warmer than other Norwegian cities on this latitude. The Gulf Stream keeps the sea relatively warm, and the mountains protect the city from cold winds from the north, north-east, and east.… Read more

You Are Here – Bordeaux

It seems that Starbucks You Are Here – Bordeaux mug will be released soon. Along with the announcement on their FB page, we get the sneak peek of the mug itself. They showed us a slightly open box from where we can see “BOR” letters combination and red, blue and white colors used for the design. I can also see a glass of wine, which is an undisputable symbol of this French municipality. This port on the Garonne River has been a well-known center of the wine-growing region for ages.… Read more

You Are Here – Ireland

What a pleasant Friday release from Starbucks! As per increasing collectors’ demand, You Are Here – Ireland mug is finally here. Obviously featuring:
– Shamrock – the national flower of Ireland. St Patrick used the shamrock’s three leaves to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagans during his mission of Christianizing Ireland. Shamrock is also a symbol of luck, mainly if it has four leaves. It was also an important symbol to the ancient Irish druids who believed that everything important in the world comes in threes, like the three dominions of earth, sky, and sea, as an example.… Read more

You Are Here – Malta

The store is yet to open its doors, however, Starbucks has announced the mug in advance. This is You Are Here Malta, as it appears on Malta Starbucks Facebook page. There is no official release date, but they assure it’s coming soon!
Thanks to vivid colors, this mug looks special. We see the Valletta skyline with Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on the front of the mug. It is a Roman Catholic church that forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage site which includes the entire city.… Read more

You Are Here – Monaco

Apparently, it has been a couple of weeks since the release of You Are Here – Monaco mug. However, it was only spotted two days ago, thanks to a Facebook user. I made my own quick research and can see some photos from April with this mug behind the counter in one of the Starbucks stores in Monaco. There are only two of those in that tiny country; that explains why it has not been seen earlier. The mug is designed using red and gold shades.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament – Switzerland

Here is the second mini mug from the recent weekend release. Starbucks You Are Here Ornament Switzerland is a colorful representative of this adorable series and has everything this country is famous for: cheese, chocolate, watch, lakes, and mountains. And for the latter, designers specifically depicted the Matterhorn, a pyramidal peak between Italy and Switzerland. The four steep faces, rising above the surrounding glaciers, face the four compass points and are split by the Hörnli, Furggen, Leone/Lion, and Zmutt ridges. As for the bear (on the back of the mug), this is probably related to Bern, “city of Bears”.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament – Austria

It has been a while since the last YAH ornament has been added here. I sincerely believed that Starbucks will be releasing one ornament every Friday. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen, and as an excuse, our beloved company has delivered two minis in one shot last weekend. You Are Here Ornament Austria is one of those. It comes with the blue string and has the same color inside, similar to the bigger mug, Austria YAH. As a reminder, there was also a limited edition ornament for this country.… Read more
