Been There Ornament Disney – Epcot

And here is the last piece of the Disney ornaments puzzle. Starbucks was pretty consistent in releasing an ornament per day, so please meet Been There Ornament Disney – Epcot with the purple string which finalizes the set of six special mini mugs. As I’ve mentioned in the preview of the bigger mug, earlier this year, Starbucks has used some retro design for Been There Series Epcot. It brings us back into 1982 when the park opened its doors for the first visitors.… Read more

Been There Ornament Disney – Animal Kingdom

After a short delay, Been There Ornament Disney – Animal Kingdom has been finally spotted in stores. The string is green, as expected.
From the quick review of the mug, it looks like Starbucks decided to not change the position of the words “jambo” (hello) on the back of the mug and “kwaherini” (goodbye) on the front. You probably remember that I expressed my concern about it in the full-size mug review. On a similar note, the not as popular slogan “Truly Alive with Adventure” was kept as well.… Read more

Been There Ornament Disney – Hollywood Studios

Been There Ornament Disney – Hollywood Studios is the second mini mug released for the Walt Disney World this season. So technically speaking Starbucks has been delivering a mug per day. With two other parks left, we are going to be done with the whole set very soon. The ornament has a brown string and these are some elements from it:
– Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith from Sunset Boulevard section of the park. It was opened on July 29, 1999, and has a sibling in Disneyland Paris.… Read more

Been There Ornament Disney – Disneyland

Starbucks decided to not wait too long to release other ornaments for remaining Disney parks, so here’s Been There Ornament Disneyland which has been spotted today. The string color, as well as the color of the inside of the mug, is pink.
Here are some park’s symbols and attractions found on this mini mug:
– Sleeping Beauty Castle was opened on July 17, 1955. It is the oldest of all Disney castles and the only Disney castle whose construction was overseen by Walt Disney.… Read more

Been There Ornament Disney – Magic Kingdom

After this morning’s news from California, East cost strikes back with Been There Ornament Disney – Magic Kingdom. It has an orange box and a light blue string.
From the only picture I have so far, I can confirm that many of the elements from the full-size mug are still here:
– Cinderella Castle, which was inspired by the eponymous movie. It became a symbol of the park and the base for the logo of Walt Disney Pictures. Interesting facts: there are a total of 27 towers on the castle, each numbered from 1 to 29, with the exception of 13 and 17 which were canceled during the constructions.… Read more

Been There Ornament Disney – California Adventure

It’s happening! Starbucks has just started onboarding Been There Ornaments for Disney Parks. Not sure what the release plan is, but I will be watching this closely. Please meet the pioneer in this new mini series – Been There Ornament Disney – California Adventure. This cutie is much similar to its bigger brother, but with slightly fewer details, obviously. The string is red, as is the inside of the mug. The box is orange.

You Are Here – Bremen

I stopped counting how many German YAHs there are already. Here’s is another one, brand new You Are Here – Bremen. It has been spotted 2 days ago, but it is only now that I got the picture to share with you, thanks to a friend.
Bremen is a major economic hub of the northern regions of Germany. Many international companies have headquarters here. That’s maybe what designers were trying to emphasize by placing some tall buildings in the background on the front of the mug.… Read more

You Are Here – Canary Islands

Starbucks You Are Here – Canary Islands mug is probably the hardest to get from those released for Spain recently. And it’s not because there are too few stores (there are eight in total on two biggest islands), but because of the remote location of this autonomous Spanish archipelago. On the bright side, it’s a very popular touristic destination all year round. You can get there by plane or by boat from mainland Spain, for instance. The ferry option, however, will take quite some time (30-40h depending on the route).… Read more

You Are Here – Sevilla

The fourth largest city in Spain is getting YAH version – Starbucks You Are Here – Sevilla mug. Please note the Spanish spelling of the name of the city – Sevilla instead of Seville. This has been a tradition for Starbucks to use local names (where possible) for the international mugs.
The front of the mug shows us the flamenco dancer costume and this is expected, as one of the districts in Seville, Triana, is considered a birthplace of flamenco. Flamenco is not just a dance but an art that can take different forms, based on the various folkloric music traditions of Andalusian culture.… Read more

You Are Here – Marbella

Here’s another Spanish mug for your review – Starbucks You Are Here – Marbella. This is the city in the south of Spain, and the part of the Costa del Sol (literally, “Coast of the Sun”). And that’s what we see first on the front of the mug – a big red sun. There are also mountains in the background, symbolizing the coastal mountain range, which includes the Bermeja, Palmitera, Royal, White, and Alpujata. Beaches, waves, palms, and luxury yacht all refer to Marbella’s position on the coast of the Midddeteranian Sea.… Read more
