This is Been There Ornament Disney – Magic Kingdom v2 that you can find on the shelves in the park, next to the bigger mug. Read my previous post for a full review of the list of symbols that can be found on both mug and ornament. And yes for v2s, Starbucks decided to make the design of the mug and ornament identical, which is different from what we’ve seen before.
I am finally reviewing the Been There Disney – Magic Kingdom v2 mug that was delayed for some reason. All four new mugs for the Walt Disney World have the “50th Anniversary” theme in their design however it is only Magic Kingdom that was opened 50 years ago, on October 1, 1971. The second park, Epcot, was only opened 11 years later!
Similar to other recent Disney mugs, this one has a legend on the cover with a list of all the elements from the mug’s design.… Read more

Here’s Been There Disney – Disneyland v2 that continues the second wave of the Disney releases. Similar to Hollywood Studios v2 and Animal Kingdom v2, it’s more than just the new design of the mug that we see, the box has some changes as well:
– the top of the cover has “Disneyland Resort” logo instead of Disney Parks as seen on the previous version
– there is a legend of all the elements from the mug on the side of the cover of the box.… Read more
It’s not only the full-sized mug that gets the update. Here is Been There Ornament – Kentucky 2 with the name of the longest cave system in the world spelled right. Interestingly enough, I didn’t notice this misspell when reviewing the first version of the ornament, even though I had it written as “Mammoth Cave” inside the post.

Long time no see, Starbucks. The most recent release brings the update for the “Bluegrass State”. Been There – Kentucky v2 introduces the change from “Mammoth Caves” to “Mammoth Cave” on the front of the mug. Although, the more I look at the mugs (see comparison picture below), the more I think it was actually “Mammuth”. They’ve definitely changed the look of that “o” (or was it “u”?). This could easily be the most exciting Starbucks release of the 2020 Holiday Season. Been There Christmas – Pike Place v2 introduces a completely unique design, never seen before. As you can see from the picture, the color of the mug is something in between chocolate and hickory with golden letters. The same gold color was also used to outline the symbols of Pike Place Market. Starbucks Icon – Penang v2 is the second State mug released for Malaysia recently. This makes it the 446th mug in the Icon collection!
Penang is located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It actually consists of two parts: Penang Island and Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula. These two are divided by the waters of the Malacca Strait and linked by two bridges. George Town is the capital of the state, located on Penang Island.

I thought Starbucks is going to stick to the nice number of 444 mugs for the Icon collection, however, the company decided to surprise us with the release of two new Malaysian Icons. Here is the first one from the pair – Starbucks Icon – Sabah v2.
Sabah is a state in the north of Borneo Island, Malaysia. Kota Kinabalu is the capital city, the economic center, and the seat of the state government.
The flower on the front of the mug is Rafflesia, a parasitic flowering plant, which has no stems, leaves, or roots.… Read more
