You Are Here Ornament – Germany

There was a confusing delay in releasing more ornaments from Europe, but today, we finally see the Starbucks You Are Here Ornament Germany making its appearance in stores. Apparently, the releases will happen in batches, so we can expect other minis coming out soon.
All I can add, this ornament is a copy of a bigger mug. The string color is brown, or to be more specific, walnut (I am not a colorist though).… Read more

Been There – Canada 2

Here is another revised BT mug. The change we see in Been There – Canada v2 is really subtle. You actually have to play “spot the difference” game here. If you, like me, could not find it right away, here is the spoiler: the only difference is the comma in the line “The True North, strong and free”, which is a weird decision, since the official text of the Canadian anthem doesn’t have that comma. With this new releases, Starbucks is actually bringing more questions, rather than fixing things.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament – Slovakia

Due its size and position it became a symbol of the city. Here’s Interesting fact, since Bratislava is located at the intersection of three countries: Slovakia, Austria and Hungary, you can see other two from the walls of Bratislava Castle
– The Slovak National Uprising Bridge in Bratislava, a.k.a.… Read more

You Are Here – Turkey

It took Starbucks six city mugs before releasing You Are Here Turkey country mug. Unfortunately I was not able to identify the building on the front of the mug, but it is definitely something from ancient times.
Thanks to a comment below the post, I’ve realized I was wrong about the building on the front of the mug. It is in fact Anıtkabir (literally, “memorial tomb”) – the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. It was opened to public on September 1st, 1953 to honour the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.… Read more
