2022 Starbucks Star Wars mugs are on the way

As you probably know, May 4th is a special day for all Star Wars fans. Coming from the famous line from the saga, “May the Force be with you”, Star Wars Day is an unofficially observed holiday. As the owner of the Star Wars franchise, Disney is using this date for certain events and releases. One of those is the collaboration with Starbucks to produce a mini-series of Star Wars Been There mugs. Since 2020, they release three mugs per year for the different places from the iconic saga.… Read more

Japan mugs from Been There Collection are out!

The variety of mugs that Starbucks offered in Japan was always different compared to other countries: a very limited amount of icons, five country YAHs (although depicting different seasons!) and a very unique “Japan Geography Series” that I have yet to add to the site.
But with this epic release of twenty Been There Japan mugs, Starbucks sets a new milestone for the collectibles from the Land of the Rising Sun. And even though some collectors are not big fans of the Been There series, they have to admit, that it allows a much better depiction of the place the mug is coming from, due to the simple fact that it contains many more elements on the sides of the mug.… Read more

You Are Here Christmas 2020 Glass Mugs

For some reason, I was hesitant to add this trio of Holiday mugs from the 2020 Christmas season to the site but decided that it actually makes sense to include them in the collection. In fact, there was no fair reason to not compare them to previous releases:
– they do belong to the “You Are Here Collection” and the boxes they come in look like other Christmas YAH boxes (see the pics below)
– their design is a revision of the respective city Christmas mugs from the previous years (see the comparison for Paris, London, and Amsterdam)
– there were no other Holiday mugs released for these cities at the same time
– these are 14oz mugs, the same size as other YAHs (see the photo of the bottom of the mug)
It’s worth noting, however, that even though they can be stacked with other YAHs, they are shorter (again see a comparison picture below).… Read more

Batuu, Tatooine and Endor mugs have been released

Not just two but three Starbucks Star Wars mugs have been revealed this morning by Disney. Batuu, Tatooine, and Endor are now available for purchase at Disney Shop, but the demand is huge. You have to act fast if you want to get them. I am expecting the new mugs to be gone very soon and who knows when the new batch is going to come out! It is limited to two mugs of the same kind per customer, but I am sure that won’t stop people from buying more and reselling for a profit later.… Read more

New Star Wars-themed mugs from Starbucks

It seems it became a good tradition for Starbucks to release new Star Wars-themed mugs on May 4th. The rumor floating around has it that the new locations from the famous universe are about to be added to the collection. As a reminder, a year ago I reviewed the first three mugs from this series: Hoth, Bespin, and Dagobah and did mention that I expected other cities and planets to follow. I am particularly satisfied to see one of the new releases to be the mug from my prediction list, which is Tatooine!… Read more

Unique mugs selection in Starbucks stores in Vietnam

Starbucks stores in Vietnam found themselves in a unique situation, where they can offer four different collections of mugs, ornaments, and demis, some of them 10 years apart between the releases. And I think this is great, it gives the customers an option to choose what they really like. They are not forced to only buy mugs from the latest collection as it happens in most other countries.
The picture below shows the display from the store in Nha Trang city.… Read more

YAH Schiphol is now available in stores

It was confirmed by a kind reader of this blog, that Starbucks You Are Here Schiphol is finally available for sale! What you see is a picture of this mug on the shelves of the Starbucks Plaza, located at Schiphol Airport. And you know what is the best part? You don’t have to pass the security check to get to the store. This discovery automatically moves this mug from “the unicorn” to “absolutely possible to get” and makes it a perfect addition to the YAH collection, especially considering it being phased out.… Read more

YAH Schiphol is real

This is an update in regards to Starbucks You Are Here – Schiphol mug, which I deemed to be a prototype that was never released. But, thanks to a Facebook user, it seems that some of these mugs made their way to the store or were gifted to baristas. These new pictures are coming from eBay where it was sold recently. It makes this mug an almost impossible to find item from You Are Here collection.
2021-01-15 update: the mug has been officially released in Schiphol Airport store.… Read more

Upcoming release of Been There – Korea

Here is a sneak peek of what is coming from Starbucks Korea very soon. As you can see from the promotional banner, there is a mug, an ornament, a tumbler and even a nice bag designed along the same lines as the Been There series. Will there be more bags from other countries or this is just unique Korean merchandise? Well, we gonna find that pretty soon, because many more releases are coming as early as this spring!… Read more

Been There – Peruvian Mugs

There were reports from locals that they could not find Lima mug, which I reviewed earlier. I thought there was a delay and I still expected it to come out sooner or later. Imagine my surprise, when one of the followers revealed the news that not one but four Peruvian mugs hit the stores today! I have these exclusive photos to share with you on behalf of the kind reader of this blog.
Interesting enough three out of four mugs have either Llama or Alpaca on them, and this is no surprise since these animals are native to Peru.… Read more
