Been There Ornament – Niagara Falls

Starbucks Been There Ornament Niagara Falls is a Canadian ornament, according to the box (it has both English and French titles on it). From the mug:
– Horseshoe Falls – a.k.a Canadian Falls, is the largest of the three waterfalls forming Niagara Falls. Did you know the falls has moved back 7 miles during the last 12000 years due to erosion? The process has significantly slowed back, however in 40000 years or so the falls might not exist.
– Lake Erie is one of the five Great Lakes and forth by surface.… Read more

Been There Ornament – San Francisco

I does look like Starbucks hasn’t released as many city BTOs as city BTs, but hopefully there will be the second batch soon. Starbucks Been There Ornament San Francisco is one of those released already. From the mug:
– The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, that’s where San Francisco Bay meets the Pacific Ocean. This bridge is probably one of the most recognizable symbols of San Francisco.
– The Dungeness crab – is a type of crab specific to West Coast of North America – a must try when visiting San Francisco due to its sweet and tender flesh.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Houston

Here’s another mini mug from Texas, this time it’s Starbucks Been There Ornament Houston. The color palette is green and brown while string is green. What do we see here:

an oil rig – since the economy of Houston is based primarily on the energy industry, particularly oil
Houston City Hall – constructed during 1938 and 1939
I would like to specifically mention the Starbucks cup, which is supposed to be found on each of the mugs from Been There series.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Dallas

In the contrast to the busy design of the bigger mug, Starbucks Been There Ornament Dallas has very few elements on the front:
Bigger’n Dallas stands for “bigger than Dallas” and is usually used to describe some impossible-to-miss object or event. It comes back from the days when Dallas was the biggest city in the state.
a football ball – probably referring to Dallas Cowboys – a professional American football team.
a guitar – referring to Annual Dallas International Guitar Festival which is the oldest and largest guitar festival show in the world
a cowboy hat – no explanation is needed
a head of a cow/bull.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Waikiki

Hawaii BTO is followed by Starbucks Been There Ornament Waikiki. They were actually spotted together, which makes sense. This mini mug has orange string and it’s front is mostly occupied by Diamond Head State Monument. I don’t necessary agree that the real mountain looks exactly like it is pictured, but it is what it is.… Read more
